Z & M delicatessen

A measure that I use for choosing a good restaurant the stall with fresh vegetables for the door. Also at Z&M they have such of picturesque thing for the entrance, and you can also here than great food.
In this restaurant over looking the ferry port and can have lunch and dinner and they use fresh,pure and mostly organic products. The menu is a mix of French,Mediterranean and Dutch kitchen. Z&M scores points with me,where is the originality of this cuisine and the hospitality. The host is very attentive and gives good advice from the perfect wine to accompany your dish_if he start at your table about wines,from the passion ,and it shows splash I like.
And do you have a wine of the card that you like it,then you can buy a bottle of this wine in the shop which the restaurant is and take home.

I found looks to be deceiving in this restaurant, have passed many times thinking it looked very quaint/cosy, but made the effort to come here for lunch and was rather disappointed with the quality of food. Perhaps I have been spoilt by great neighbourhood Italian restaurants in New York, but I would consider the dishes underseasoned/underwhelming in flavour - I understand great ingredients do not need a lot of seasoning added for taste, but really the freshness/quality of the ingredients was not there, my pasta had tomato and pesto, very simple, but the quality tastes similar to supermarket pesto, the EVO drizzle seemed only aesthetic. My partner had lamb risotto, which I felt erred on the side of overcooked/claggy. The portion control also seemed erratic, I left hungry whilst my partner had a LOT of risotto.

The atmosphere is quite nice, and they do look like they had a large wine menu, but will not be coming back to try again.
