I came here to have a belt loop repaired and a pair of pants hemmed. I went to pick them up the day after the provided ready date, but when I arrived my pants were nowhere to be found. The owner called me later that same day to say that my pants had been sent to be pressed and that they were ready for pickup. How could I be mad when they threw in an extra service for free? I was a bit irritated that I had to go back, but I felt much better when upon my arrival the owner said my clothes would be free of charge for my trouble. The farmers market was happening when I returned, but I still found a parking spot right away since they have reserved parking spaces right in front of the business. My issue easily could be resolved in the future with a phone call and my pants came out looking great. I'll be returning!

This is the worst Starbucks I've ever been to. I put in a mobile order and walked from the SJSU 10th St. garage, thinking that would be more than enough time for them to make my order, especially since the app said it would be ready in 6-8 minutes. After I stepped into the sweltering hot store, I had to wait another 12 minutes for my order. Keep in mind that was 12 minutes in addition to the time it took me to walk there. It took so long that I actually thought I had gone into the wrong Starbucks! I ordered an iced coffee with milk and 1 packet of Splenda, no syrup. It looked like it had a bit too much milk, but I walked out with it anyway. It indeed had too much milk and also tasted like it had no sweetener at all. Absolutely disgusting. I guess it was my fault for walking out without tasting it, but the staff seemed rude and I didn't want to deal with it. I won't be returning to this location.

I've been shopping at this location since it was called New Leaf. In fact, I was there on the first opening day. Since the change was made to New Seasons, there has been a drastic decline in local, organic, and natural products, as well as quality customer service. There are still about 6 or 7 employees that are helpful and nice, but the majority look like they don't want to be there, which may account for the fact that this location always seems to be hiring. A lot of local products that I loved have been pulled from shelves and have been replaced with overpriced conventional items.

It also really disappoints me that many of their grab-and-go deli items are prepared in another facility and shipped to the various New Seasons stores. It didn't used to be that way, but it certainly makes me wonder if the items inside the deli case are also shipped from a central location. Furthermore, I twice encountered foods in the grab-and-go section of the deli that were mislabeled. One was a sandwich that I could tell was mislabeled because the container was transparent. I bought it anyway, having only a vague idea of what kind of meat was inside and being completely clueless about the cheese, but it ended up being okay. Another time I bought a burrito that was supposed to be bean and cheese with organic refried beans. I ate it for lunch that day and was extremely shocked and disappointed to find that the burrito had rice, cabbage, and MEAT. Now, I'm not a vegetarian, but you would think that a store would be more careful about this kind of thing when people are so lawsuit-happy these days. It wasn't what I wanted and I was pretty mad.

The food in the hot food bar rarely ever looks fresh, so I generally stay away from it. Again, that didn't used to be the case. The bakery is still good. I love the croissants and banana cake. However, the smoothie bar is very hit-and-miss, depending on who's behind the counter.

The only reason this location is receiving more than a 1-star rating from me is that they sell some products that I can't find anywhere else and they allow you to order some things by the case if they used to sell it. Also, as I said, some of the employees are still nice and make me feel welcome. That being said, I'm going to continue to only shop here when it's absolutely necessary.

I've eaten at a few Johnny Rockets restaurants and was disappointed with this location. My wife and I came here specifically because of the sign outside advertising 50% off shakes for happy hour Mon-Wed after 7 pm and because they now offer gluten free buns (for my wife). I asked about the happy hour before ordering and was told that the promotion just ended the day before and the best they could offer was $1 off one shake. Neither of us were very happy with their offer, but we were committed to eating there, so we caved. We ordered the Spicy Houston, the Rocket Single on a gluten free bun, and a cookies and cream shake. We both ordered our burgers well done, but mine was the only well done burger and my wife spent most of her time picking off the underdone meat on hers. The shake was okay, but nothing special. When the bill came, I saw that the $1 wasn't deducted from the price of our shake. We let a lot of things go on that visit, but giving us that $1 off was the least they could do considering the fact that they should've just given us the advertised price for the shake since it wasn't our fault that no one took the sign down. With the $1 off, our bill was just under $25. That's pretty standard for restaurants where I live, so I won't say that the cost was unreasonable. However, underdone meat and an unwillingness to honor their advertised promotion mean we won't be returning.

I also want to note that the happy hour sign was still up when we left Monterey 2 days later. Unbelievable.

This is a quaint, 100% gluten free establishment with a friendly owner. I've only tried a few of the baked goods so far, but there are also a variety of breakfast and lunch items offered. The chocolate cupcake and cranberry oatmeal cookie were delicious. It's apparent that everything is made in-house. I will be back the next time I'm in Monterey for a sandwich and another one of those fantastic chocolate cupcakes!
