RBS

This is a main city centre branch which is always very busy. Sometimes there isn't enough staff on and it can take a long time to be served. The branch is very big, there is a lot of cashline machines available. There is no parking available nearby but it is handy for city workers or if you are in town. The staff are helpful however they can be under pressure because of the high volume of people they are looking after. The queue system works on a first come first served basis and an automated machine tells you when it is your turn and which teller to go to.


I feel as if this branch is not very safe for the staff as there is no glass between you and the teller, a bit dodgy from their point of view. The staff are always changing in here and I have never seen the same person twice.

Staff in this branch are abrupt, ill-mannered and rude. Not long ago I waited for fully 25 minutes to be served despite there being only three customers ahead of me in the queue when I arrived. Incredibly at one point there were NO tellers serving. What a sorry excuse for a branch...when I eventually got served and complaibed about the wait the female member of staff told me I should go elsewhere...incredible.
On an earlier visit another female teller informed me that she did NOT have a clue what she was doing. All I wanted was to pay my credit card bill with cash - but the way she looked at the transaction you would have thought it was the Krypton Factor she had to figure out...the fact that I was pressed for time seemed utterly irrelevant. How standards have plummeted in this branch.
