The London Swing Cats

If you love to jump and jive, or if you're looking for a place to learn how, the London Swing Cats are just what you need! The relaxed and friendly atmosphere at the St. Aloysius Social club is located a short walk from Euston Station. Lindy Hop classes happen here on Tuesday evenings, beginners at 7:15 and an intermediate class at 8:15. Jump, jive, and swing away from 9 to 11:30. The classes are great for first timers and regulars alike, beginning with basics and building from there.

Swing cats holds Lindy Hop classes- a 1940s style of dance. I went to one a couple of years ago when the classes were held in O'neills and, despite having the co-ordination of a vegetable, i had a really good time.I found it awkward to start off with as you rotate partners and some people are obviously pros-resulting in them having to dumb it down majorly for you. However by the end i managed to grasp the basic steps (thanks to the great teachers) and felt as though i'd done something social and healthy.
