Pop is one of many vintage/retro stores in the Covent Garden area. I think this place is best for its jumpers and skirts for the girls and sometimes the jewellery pieces can be quite nice. The prices aren't too extravagant either-you'll usually find they range between 15 to 35 pounds. I would say this is more retro than vintage with a 60s and 70s feel to the place and they have some quirky ornament items too. The men's section is really just jeans and shirts with a few jackets.
I will always 'pop' in when I'm walking past but I think the Covent Garden area offers better vintage/retro stores than this one. However with these kinds of stores you never know what you're going to find so why not take a look.

I love POP!! I have bought their POP retro bags since 2003, different colours, different style, but always as trendy!

Its difficult to leave the shop without buying anything: 1960s dresses, shirts, trousers, skirts, shoes, sunglasses, telephones (yes, telephones!)

A must for all vintage shoppers!

I have only been able to go shopping here once. but that one time was enough for a lifetime. I brought my guy friend who is CLUELESS about shopping here, and we ended up leaving with a FULL wardrobe for him. it was such a relief to finally find a place that had enough stuff that we could agree on, in a price range that he could afford.
I also bought myself a sweet lil western shirt. It was one of those things that I have ALWAYS wanted to buy, but I always thought places charged too much for it. but not Pop Boutique. Finally a reasonably priced western shirt for a yank lady to stand out in a crowd of brits..... oh wait. I think I mwanted to blend in. Oh well.
The people who worked there were really friendly too, and even humored my clueless friend when he asked them for fashion advice (clearly he doesn't value my opinion enough, but then again I AM the american girl in western gear)

So kind! These people are soooo nice!

They have their own brand (new stuff)
They have vintage 70's, 80's, 90's. It's not a mess, its clean, doesn't smell stuffy or too vintagy.

It's a shop for cute girls. I'm not very cute...but did find a silk shirt that I can wear as a dress £18.

Pop was the first vintage shop I ever went to when I lived in the suburbs and was dazzled on trips to London by Neal Street and its collection of interesting shops and brands. A shopping trip there always included a Pop bag, probably holding a retro slogan t-shirt or hoodie. I actually still have the first t-shirt I bought there and it will always have a beloved space in my wardrobe, and similarly I'll always have a soft spot for Pop.

However, these days I'd rarely choose to shop there. It was when they introduced their own brand of vintage-style t-shirts and jeans that the shop lost a little of its charm. You can still find good bits and bobs in there, but the selection is limited and the shop popular so its an even bigger game of luck than your average vintage shop. I would now always choose Absolute Vintage, Beyond Retro or Blackout if on a vintage mission, but if I'm passing then I'll certainly give Pop a go - it's so small it doesn't take long! It's also good if you don't fancy being daunted by the huge selection in other shops, and makes a good introduction to the vintage market.
I also like its boutique set-up and style.

From my limited knowledge of thrift/retro shops this is somewhere that has some things for the various parties I go to and interesting things for Burning Man at price that I would actually pay!

Great staff and about half the place stocked for men. I've only ever bought accessories from there (braces, bow tie, hat and a belt) and am very happy with the place; its the only little retro shop I'd happily go back to!

When I landed in London, Pop Boutique was my go-to for vintage and other random bits. They have their own brand of skinny jeans, cords and vintage "style" (but not actually vintage) dresses. There are also actual vintage clothes on offer too.

The selection isn't huge and it's really hit or miss but I've been pretty lucky in finding the odd 50s dress or 40s blouse. The house wares are pretty cool too but can be a little pricey.

The accessories are always pretty good. I bought a really unusual black belt that goes with EVERY dress in my wardrobe practically. They also sell men's clothes here too but they always seem to be in huge sizes - small men beware, if you aren't giant, you'll find it hard to get something here.

A great wee vintage store on the edge of Covent Garden, a staple when your vintage shopping around London town.

What a find. In a city chock full of corner shops selling identical cheap lyrca dress and overpriced vintage stores than don't sell anything for under £100, POP Boutique is a welcome happy medium.

Selling a mix of factory-purchased skirts, dresses, shirts, and shorts in different patterns and vintage-bought clothing, POP is a little funky and for those shopping around the Covent Garden area, I would advise a visit. I found a flouncy off the shoulder dress and a unique gold and silver cuff bracelet - each for £10! A good deal for quality items. Be sure to check the jewelry case in the back near the dressing rooms.

There are tonnes of vintage shops around Covent Garden and honestly this is just another one. It feels a bit more boutique-y than some maybe and has got quite a good range of accessories. I bought this proper winter jumper for a tenner here recently and it seems to be doing the joint job of going with a pair of jeans and making my grandmother wonder why she ever stopped with the knitting. Loads of shirts and jackets for guys too so it's not a totally wasted trip for boyfriends or cross dressing girlfriends.

hhmmm, I used to come here quite a lot when I was 17, to buy random and alternative clothes and stuff. It's all 60's-themed psychedelic stuff - well, all the labels are - because, like, errm, it's a vintage shop. And so they do sell loads of vintage stuff: cool bags, records, clothes, accessories and homeware.

And I like the homeware, you know those 60's wind up phones and vases (maybe we should get some stuff from there?). Anyway I stopped going there as much probably because it's in Covent garden (7 dials) which is a bitch to get to. Also because they make stuff themselves - I hate vintage shops that manufacture their own goods - bit of a rip off, it's just not vintage is it?
