This place is okay at best. I'm not sure what all the raving reviews are about.
It was pouring rain and my boyfriend and I wanted a place to just eat lunch without having to wait forever. This place was half empty so we stepped into a very cozy atmosphere.
We were seated quickly. We started off with a large cafe creme and water. I swear they refill the glass bottle with tap water but charge you like crazy for it, 4.5€. I saw them filling the bottles with water!!
We ordered e tomato gnocchi for me and the veal for him. They brought us olives with crackers before. for 20€, the gnocchi was crazy over priced because all it was with gnocchi with tomato sauce on top. I could have made it at home in minutes. The veal at 24€ made more sense and came with a side of black rice.
We profiterole for 10€ which was a flakey puff with ice cream. It was tiny and not very memorable for 10€. We were charged 9€ for water so the meal came out to 68€ which was absurd. It was also really hard to get the attention of our servers throughout the meal and we had to ask for bread.
Bathrooms are located downstairs.Helpful 4Thanks 0Love this 2Oh no 0 - Kelvin C.Brea, Verenigde Staten1871315128211 nov 2015
As our first meal in Paris, it may seem strange to eat Italian food. I was craving for pasta and couldn't be happier that we stumbled upon this quaint little restaurant hidden in a little alleyway.
Truffle pasta: This was a very well made pasta. The truffle really shines here as they don't fluff it up with any extra ingredients. Just pasta and truffle + truffle oil. I did wish that they seasoned the pasta a little bit more.
Linguine Alla Vongole: The clams were very fresh and the pasta was very well made. While this pasta was also a little under-seasoned, adding in the parmigiano reggiano that they provide really kicked it up a notch. The dish went from being a 7 to a 9. Dam that was good parm :-P
Also, no pretentious service here which was awesome.

After reading so many wonderful reviews about this place I was expecting one of the best Italian meals in Paris. The space is indeed delightful and romantic and the street it's located on even more so (score a seat by the window if you can), but beyond the atmosphere, there was nothing memorable about the meal.
We ordered an antipasti plate to start with which had a nice array of marinated, cured, and grilled veggies, but the bruchetta we ordered as well was a total downer. The bread was limp and the toppings totally average.
My main dish of mushroom ravioli in a creamy truffle sauce was fresh and fragrant, but it was a bit clingy and over sauced for my taste. My husband's Saltimbocca was good, but had nothing spectacular about it. The only real stand-out dish was the fantastic tiramisu.
The crowd was a mix of old school left bank locals in their finest posh attire (I wear my sunglasses at night types..) and short-clad American tourists. Not exactly my kind of scene, but it was fun to "go there" for an evening.Helpful 5Thanks 0Love this 5Oh no 0 - 26 jul 2014
I was very happy that I decided to look up Italian food whilst in the area.
We happened on this restaurant and were pleasantly surprised by the light, airy decor, and smiling faces that greeted us. The women who work here were wonderfully kind and accommodating.
The food was pretty good. We weren't at all let down, especially at such a good price. The portions were also very substantial. We weren't able to finish but they were happy to box up our meal so we could take it home with us.
Definitely recommend this place.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Jeff P.Fort Lauderdale, Verenigde Staten11168206 dec 2017
As an American in Paris this was a find. In the Left Bank we have been here before. Small - very. Food - off the charts. Decor - did I mention the place is small, a bit dark, and down a few steps. Service - wonderful. I highly recommend.

Food was great, but portions are small and prices are high! Not your typical Italian portions. Overall very good though!

Great, friendly service
Beautiful interior
Tourist-friendly (English menu available)
Tucked-away
Great Italian menu
Absolutely amazing... I had the pasta with claims, yellow cherry tomatoes, and zucchini, and it was perfect. Pasta was fresh and egg-y; clams were cooked perfectly; and the salty pasta water made the perfect sauce. I finished with the tiramisu which was again perfect... simple: just lady fingers, perfect marscapone filling, and espresso... no overpowering liquer. My sister got the white truffle tortellini pasta, and it was extremely flavorful and delicious. Highly recommended. Come for lunch if price is an issue. Staff and service were equally as good as our meal. An easy 5 stars.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Ken O.Parker, Verenigde Staten2264 jul 2015
It doesn't have a world class view or wine list. It doesn't have an army of wait staff at your elbow. It doesn't even have air conditioning. What it does have is some very good Italian food with a Parisian flair.
Tiny, it is tucked into an alley next to Guy's Sexy Show, You better make reservations for one of the 2 sittings, either 7:30 or 9:30.
We ordered Watermelon Tartar and Veal Carpaccio to start. The Tartar was cool and refreshing on a sweltering Paris evening. My wife liked her carpaccio, as well.
For the main course, my wife had the tortellini and I had the gnocchi. Again, both dishes were excellent. My gnocchi came in a sage butter sauce, giving it a french flair.
One star taken away because of a lack of AC. It was so hot, that the woman at the next table got her personal hand held fan stuck in her hair. The food was worth it, I am sure.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - Richard L.Burbank, Verenigde Staten246104 nov 2015
We went here after reading reviews on Yelp. We were lucky we got a table without
a reservation. Go early! The food was fantastic and the service was great. If you're in Saint Germain do not miss the opportunity to eat here.Helpful 0Thanks 0Love this 0Oh no 0 - S G.Minneapolis, Verenigde Staten235220 nov 2016
Loved this cute restaurant! Delicious Italian food and great wine! Great ambience. If you need a break from French food, I highly recommend making a reservation for one of your nights in Paris.
