Great quality, good prices, and lots of choice. The wholesale markets bring in supplies from all over the state and the country and these feed much of the city. There are retail flower markets on Tuesday and Friday, fruits on Wednesday.
Saturday is general retail and has fish, meat, fruit, and vegetables of nearly every conceivable kind. While there early Saturday morning, you must try a pernil sandwich from ZeZé. It is freaking delicious and worth the trip alone. Accompany said pork wonderfulness with an Original bem gelada or caldo de cana com limão and you are starting your Saturday morning right.
In the interest of karmic balance after that sandwichy excess, this reviewer recommends vegetable/fruit shopping for the week, and perhaps picking up some flowers for your significant other.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0 - Edward B.Los Angeles, Verenigde Staten1311728305 feb 2017
fresh fish and they will fillet it for you. Fresh fruits and fresh vegetables direct from the farms. on Saturday and Sunday morning they have everything here. Fresh sugar cane juice made in front of you. all the best farms and fisherman market their products here. and the prices are ridiculously low. this place is a one stop and shop for all you need. every time I come home to brasil I make it a point to come here when I am in Higienópolis. we have a few small markets in Florianopolis but this has a greater variety of vendors. if I could rate more than 5 stars I would.

If you're interested in buying plants, flowers or fruits, try the state market CEAGESP (also known as Ceasa), located in the west of town close to Parque Villa-Lobos. The wholesale market feeds the entire city, but offers a number of retail sales as well, with prices that take some beating. Tuesdays and Fridays are plant and flower days. Get there early to find good deals and fresh products.
For fruit, Wednesdays (at night) and weekends (in the morning) are the peak times. And if all the healthy, fresh produce and natural aromas get a bit much, outside the entrance you'll find a hot dog stand, open 24 hours a day, with 'dogs made the paulistano way, with mashed potatoes, corn and potato matchsticks.Helpful 1Thanks 0Love this 1Oh no 0
